Open Sources Episode 2: This time we pay attention

Despite not even knowing what day it is, Matt and Dave recorded Episode 2 of the Open Sources podcast for your listening pleasure. In a world of economic turmoil isn’t it nice that you can rely on our foolish thoughts to make you feel better?

In this episode we talk about:

  • Companies still getting funded even in the downturn
  • Cisco
  • Salesforce.com
  • Layoffs versus hiring
  • Satish’s bad-ass Zimbramobile

The opening music is Rise Above from Black Flag’s Damaged album. The closing music is Wait Till I Can Dream by Tommy Heavenly 6, my favorite Jpop band. Neither song is used with permission so it’s a good thing Matt is an attorney.

Bit surprised to not see an Ogg Vorbis encoded version of this podcast. Would you consider that for future shows, for us who are embracing the open source computer systems? Thanks.

Congrats on re-starting the podcast (albeit without the handsome one). Although I didn’t dislike Season 1’s longer format, this shorter format is definitely tighter by seeming to focus on only one or two points. Also enjoy the changing opening and closing music. Look forward to more episodes.

    Great news!

I finally relented and unsubcribed from the old podcast a week or two ago in the hope that it might return.

Now, what are we going to do about LugRadio and Firefly?

Hey guys you need to embed the MP3 files in the RSS feed so they show up in podcatchers.

You just have titles and blurb like a news feed no audio
